If you really want more projects for your contractor business and never run out of customers again without breaking the bank, here’s what you need to do:

After speaking with hundreds of local contractors in HVAC, Asphalt, Landscaping, Concrete, and many other business owners the one thing I can take away from my conversations is that many of them are spending way too much on their marketing to generate new leads to get new customers.

I see business owners spending 3, 4, and 5K or even more every month paying for leads or clicks to their website only to get mediocre results in terms of their cost per lead.

These are the most common complaints I hear:

  • Paying thousands of dollars every month on Google ads only to get a few projects that barely cover the expense of the ads
  • Paying upwards of $20, $30, or even $50 per click or more on Google ads and only converting maybe 1 in 10 or 1 in 20 of those into a paying customer.

The obvious one that I haven’t listed yet is Search Engine Optimization or SEO.  But before you say “I’ve done that before”, read this.

I think we all know the golden ticket to getting an unlimited supply of steady leads and customers in having your business on Page 1 of Google.

But I can’t tell you how many local business owners have told me stories about how they hired some cheap overseas SEO “expert” who promised the world only to find out 4 to 5 months later they have made little to no progress in getting your business showing up on Google page 1 for keywords that are going to bring you in new projects.

Or even worse, the ones that bring in quick results using “blackhat” techniques that end up backfiring and getting their business completely delisted by Google entirely.

So the other option is to hire a competent and more expensive SEO company that has proven results and can actually get you to where you want to be which is on Page 1 of Google.

The downside? You’ll likely need to wait at least 9 months to a year or more before you start seeing anything that even results in sales calls because local competition can be fierce and traditional SEO takes a lot of time and money to get there.
